Lower Animas River Rafting

G-R-E-A-T Fun for the Entire Family!

A Durango, Colorado vacation must include a rafting adventure on the “River of Lost Souls”, The Animas. Share an adventure. Make a memory!

Lower Animas Adventure!

Whether it's the thrill of spring run-off or a lazy late summer float, every member of the family will enjoy the scenic beauty of the River of Lost Souls.

The Lower Animas offers a unique chance to float through Colorado's past. Mining ruins of the last 100 years will add flavor to the tales of local tradition and history that your boatman will share with you. These daily trips begin in Durango and proceed south through the Southern Ute Indian Reservation. We'll splash through Smelter, Sawmill and Santa Rita Rapids, then the Pinball Rock Garden. Panoramic views of the Rockies as well as occasional glimpses of wildlife will make your river trip a highlight of your Colorado experience.

Bring suntan lotion, a hat and a windbreaker. You'll get splashed, so wear quick-drying clothes such as shorts, sandals, tennis shoes (keep your shoes dry and your feet warm - rent Booties for only $6.00/pair), and T-shirts. We'll provide experienced guides, stable rafts and life jackets for everyone. Drinks and snacks will be served on half day trips. Is this the trip for you? Book your reservation now!
